I was recently contacted by b&q to recall a on/off remote control set. I took it into B&Q at Gt Western Rd. The set I returned was a triple however the member of staff returned refunded my husband £12 using the return code for a double set. When I went back and queried this she was clearly annoyed stating this was the code she had been given and had been using for all returns - I was annoyed but not hostile and explained this wasn’t my problem i had paid more for the item as it was a triple - she then asked me for a receipt which I said was irrelevant as they were recalling the product- she then told me to stop shouting which I categorically was not and proceeded to get a manager who gave an alternative ode and I was refunded another £3 which If I’m honest I don’t believed covered what I paid for the item. I then went to purchase another and there wee no alternative products so had to spend £24 to replace in another store. This is the 2nd time I have found staff in this store to be unhelpful- really difficult process to return an item that I’d have rather have kept. Not good B&Q
