Lauren's complaint against Living Social

[RESOLVED] - Booked a chocolate course and the company lied, then closed down, would like refund

Complaint against Living Social

Booked a course with The Chocolate Candy Emporium, Alexanda Hamilton Group on the LivingSocial website. I have all the copies of the emails. The company canceled the course, time and time again. Once they didn't tell anyone and everyone was outside the venue, I had contracted them via Facebook, saying how excited we were and they replied saying that everyone had been phoned about it being canceled, I never received this phone call or the people who were leaving messages on the facebook page about where were the people who were running the course. They lied about phoning me to rebook. Then the company closed. I paid Living Social and would like a refund of my money. Course cost £70 for two people for four hours. I had money off 10% and paid £63. I would like my money back to take my daughter and myself on another course, my daughter has tourettes syndrome and her tics go away when she is doing what she loves, she loves all forms of cooking and baking. This was going to be a treat for during her GSCE's, something to make the stress go away for a few hours. 1/09/2014 I had my voucher, booked with The Chocolate Candy Emporium but they said they never had enough people to make up the numbers for the class, a good company would have kept their word and held the course. I had to disappoint my daughter time and time again. I felt so bad for letting her down, building up her hopes and excitement then again having to say it had been canceled.
