Cost of repairing a defective Sony Bravia TV is higher than purchase price of new TV.

Complaint against Sony

TV model KLV 40BX420 purchased from @SonyMalaysia less than 4 years old. Has picture defect that renders it unusable. Sony advised that new panel required which would cost more than new TV even with 10% discount and only warranty for 3 months. Not happy, I asked for contact details of the person responsible for product quality so I could complain directly. So far Sony Malaysia have refused to provide the contact details. This is not the only defect with this TV, I also had a replacement power supply while it was still under warranty.
