Replacement tumble dryer , paid £99 , failed to work after 3 weeks . Waited 15 days for a engineer .

Complaint against Hotpoint

Dear Sir/Madam, I had a recall Hotpoint tumble dryer which I had offered to pay £99 for a replacement new one , after 3 weeks the machine failed to work, I then had to wait 15 days for an engineer , he came assessed the machine and it needs a complete new control panel. As the machine was under 30 days old I believe we should have had a replacement, because we couldn't get a engineer until 15 days later they won't replace as its now more than 30 days old. We are being passed from pillar to post to different departments and getting nowhere, it's so frustrating. I'm feel I am in a no win situation, is there any advice someone could help us to resolve the situation, they took away a perfectly good working machine which I believe I should have got my money back and the £99 for the new one. The next time they can give us an engineer appointment is the 4 th of October but no guarantee of all the parts been delivered in time, the engineer told us the day he came that he had only been scheduled our appointment the evening before and it was a extra call for him. Still waiting for a date for machine to be fixed into 31 days now .........

31 days, nothing from Hotpoint , every time we phone we get passed from pillar to post, can't tell us when the parts are coming or when our tumble dryer is going to be fixed. And won't refund our money or replace the machine , at the end of our tether now .......... On the phone each time for at least 45 mins or more.
