Complaint against Hotpoint

I completed the online form on the Hotpoint website and my tumble dryer was part of the recall. I received an automated email saying I will have a response within 48 hours but it can take up to 8 weeks to fix the problem. 12 weeks later and still no contact from them I sent multiple emails and still no reply. I finally manage to speak to them today and the first advisor said I was booked to have the tumble dryer fixed in Sept, I give her my concerns about this and she give me another number to ring, spoke to another call centre and expressed my concerns and his response was you can purchase one of our discounted models. I told him why the hell should I have to pay to have a defective dryer replaced. he said you will have to wait until Sept for an engineer. This is disgraceful, I am very hesitant using the dryer now, but they are not botherd
