Complaint against Easylife

I noticed that this company took payments for all goods ordered on the day of order placement and was informed that items were in stock. However when I called to enquire why no items had been delivered I was told that there had been an unexpected surge in orders and they were awaiting new stock. I explained I had ordered by telephone and had been assured that stock was available, but was advised that the surge had happened after I had placed my order!!. I asked why my card had been debited straight away, was told that was normal practice, I suggested that was poor business practice and the woman on the phone laughed and said it was normal for them. I felt enraged by this shocking customer care. I have since read other reviews about this company and it would appear my complaint is regularly experienced by many others.I wish I had sought review opinion before I spent my money with this shady company, I certainly won't be doing business with them ever again and everyone should be warned about their behaviour.
