Complaint against Currys PC World

Last year I bought a laptop as a Christmas present. Recently currys pc world sent me 2 letters telling me my FREE one year warranty was about to come to an end. Around the same time I noticed £5.50 was going out of my account each month for 'Product support AG' and has been for the last year! I didn't sign anything saying I wanted this, and why would I if there was a free year warranty. I would like this cancelled and a refund given.

Hi Chloe, thanks for the post. can you advise of the Care Plan reference number shown on the receipt near the mandate reference about half way down, along with the make of the item and your postcode. I should then be able to trace this and look to assist. - Thanks Jay

Hi Jay. I don't have a paper receipt, but I do have some old emails. They have this reference number: CUR1529629976 I don't know if that helps. The reference on the recent letters I've been receiving is BW9GNQH. It's a Lenovo, and my post code is B13 8HA. Thanks for looking into this. It really is quite a surprise, as I definitely didn't ask for any insurance or support!

It says 'product support AG' and that's it really. It's not a direct debit, that's why I can't cancel it with my bank :-( there's a phone number - 08448006080, I didn't want to call because I'd be charged for it. I know i don't have a care plan because I didn't sign up for one. I googled this and it says it's you guys! it's for £5.50 every month. Thanks for looking into this.

Oh and under 'Authorisation Method', it says 'Online/phone/mail order purchase'. I bought this laptop online and had it delivered - don't know if that helps.
