[LAPSED] Product Support AG
Complaint against
Currys PC World
We have just received a letter stating that there has been a problem with payment for a 'Whatever Happens Premier Club' agreement. This has only happened because we have had new debit cards from the bank. BUT we have never agreed or signed up to such and agreement. The letter says we agreed when we bought a washing machine back in 2014 and we have been paying £5/month ever since. I have since checked my bank account and we have been paying this amount for around 5 years without my knowledge. - payment collected by Product Support AG. We never take any such insurance cover for any purchases, so I know we did not agree to this. And even worse we had a new washing machine a couple of years ago. On calling Currys customer services they said our agreement is on their system and when I asked for evidence of our agreement for this purchase they just said we have to go back to the store we purchased the product from and ask them to see it. A store which has since closed by the way. Customer Services was of no help at all. So it seems Currys PC World, or Product Support AG have been taking £60 every year from my account since May 2013 without my knowledge or agreement (my fault for not noticing in my account). There appears to be a gap of a few months where no payment was taken and when I asked customer services they said the policy was cancelled and reinstated. Again without my knowledge. I am not going to let this drop but not sure what I can do without consulting legal advice.
