[LAPSED] A payment of £6.50 being debited from my account after buying a laptop

Complaint against Currys PC World

My Dad purchased a laptop last year and has only just informed about this deduction in his account. He purchased McAffee with it but no extra cover. I think this is awful, he is a pensioner and I believe he has been conned!!

Hi Louis, The support agreement that you refer to appears will appear on his sales receipt and on each of his monthly bank statements. We also offer our customers a 14 day cancellation period should they be unhappy with any of the terms initially agreed. Whilst we take any claims of miss-selling very seriously, it becomes difficult to substantiate after a period of 12 months. Richard

Hi, well obviously not serious enough. Like i said in the initial complaint no extra support or cover was purchased but has been debited from his bank account. Also as I stated my father is a pensioner and didn't realise what this payment was and was unsure what to do about it, which is why it was passed to myself. Thanks for nothing.
