Complaint against Currys PC World
I purchased two HP laptops model no. 3168NGW intel i5 in early January 2018 from Currys/PC World Chadwell Heath, London store. At the till we were asked if we wanted to purchase any Knowhow tech support and we very clearly stated no. The person at the till did not tell us we will be receiving any tech support and did not talk about Knowhow. He did not inform us at all that we would be charged every month. However, my bank statements show that since purchase I have been charged £7.59 every month under a reference "PRODUCT SUPPORT AG". I am being charged for something I clearly did not ask for. A few months ago, I called the Knowhow team to cancel my support agreement. My details were taken, including the reference number, and I was told that the charges would be cancelled and my money refunded. However, I am still being charged as of April 2018. I telephoned the Knowhow support line again on 24/04/2018 and was again promised that it would be cancelled. When I asked whether my money would be refunded I was not answered and just put on hold for over 10 minutes. After looking online, I have found out that other customers of Currys/PC World have also been charged for Knowhow tech support every month without them knowing. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received. It is very dishonest to charge me every month for a service I did not purchase, and then to fail to cancel the agreement despite assuring me that it would be done.
