Julie's complaint against Currys PC World
Changed my mind about a product and could not get refund as I had broken the seal on packaging
Complaint against Currys PC World
On Saturday 9 th july 2016 I bought from currys a hand held vacuum cleaner for £49.99 .When we got home and opened the box to read the instructions we decided we did not want this one as it had to be charged for 16 hours and also my mother gave us one that she did not use anymore so we decided to take the product back.We went back today 15 th July and I asked if I could return the product and they told me NO as I had broken the seal on the box .I left the store and phoned customer services to ask if this was currys policy and was told it was their policy but it is up to the store manager so I was told to go back to the store and speak to him.I went back in and spoke to the manager and was told again NO as it was now classed as second hand. I told him to check the product as it had not been used but he still said No .I told him that you could not see all the writing on the box for the tape they had used so we had to open the box for the instructions. He told me that I should of asked for the product instructions in store and I could of read them in the store before I bought the product.I am so annoyed about the way this has worked out and i do not know of any other store that treat their customers like this.I have purchased all my electrical goods from currys in the past but I certainly will not buy anything else from them again after being treated like I was today.
