Complaint against Currys PC World

Never give Currys cash. They cannot be trusted. I am only grateful that I used my credit card so can prove the £159 I paid to them in September 2018 as I cannot get the email the manager of the Brixton branch promised to email. I went to Currys after seeing an offer for a printer online. Despite showing the salesman Currys own website, he insisted that the offer was not available. After waiting a long time, I eventually saw the manager, who sold me the printer and ink at the advertised price. He asked me if I wanted to have the receipt emailed to me and I agreed. I did not receive the receipt so emailed Currys asking for the receipt to be sent to me. I received an acknowledgement, telling me my email was, 'truly important' them and promising to get back to me. I made the mistake of assuming they would do what they said. When the printer broke last week, I checked for the receipt and realised I had only ever received the initial acknowledgement from Currys. I wrote and explained the situation, including screenshots from my credit card, the original email and their reference number for the emailed query. The 'customer services' told me that as I had bought the printer in the store I would have to take copies of credit card statements to the store 'if' I did not have a copy of the receipt. The whole point is that I was never emailed the receipt as promised by the manager of the Brixton Branch. I was never sent the email as per my request in September 2018. Having experienced long waits and lack of customer services when I bought the printer, it would be very surprising if Currys were able to quickly get a copy of my receipt. The very least that 'customer services' should have done is to contact the branch, get a copy of the receipt and get it sent to me. And apologise that their customer has to repeatedly email, go into credit card records, send them screenshots etc. etc. because the manager of Currys in Brixton did not send the receipt when he promised.
