[LAPSED] Direct Debit taken for over 5 years

Complaint against Currys PC World

A monthly direct debit of £4.50 is being taken from my Aunts Current Account, for which I have been recently been granted power of Attorney. She does not know what this is for and was totally unaware of it being taken. She vaguely remembers buying a TV from Currys some years ago. Online banking allows me to search as far back as April 2014 and the direct debit was going out then. My Aunt has always had very comprehensive home insurance, which covers accidental damage etc and would not have subscribed to any insurance cover. My Aunt is partially sighted and her pride has, until now, prevented her from asking for help. Please can you advise how I can claim a full refund on her behalf. I have tried ringing customer services but it just rings and rings.

All sorted now - full refund given. Disgusted that dd was taken for all these years and that no compensation was offered... but I guess you can't have everything.
