Complaint against Currys PC World
I ordered a cooker and fridge on December 7th. Delivery and fitting day was scheduled for 21st December. Having waited all day I couldn't track my order as the system didn't work. A phone call to the 'helpline' was long, frustrating and expensive but assured me my goods were on the lorry. At 5pm the driver phoned to say he'd run out of hours and the new delvery date was 4th January. I was apoplectic. Further phone calls to the 'helpline' assured me I would be contacted by text with a new delivery date which would hopefully be before Christmas. No~one ever contacted me. A trip to my local store confirmed no delivery was possible before Christmas. I cancelled the £700 pound order. On complaining to customer service I received an apology so general it could have been written to anyone about any complaint and said because this was an internal matter they would follow it up privately and I would get no further feedback! A letter to the CEO at their Sheffield HQ has, 2 weeks later, so far not even been acknowledged! Absolutely dreadful service showing utter contempt for customers from a company who have a stranglehold on the market.
