PRODUCT SUPPORT AG has been charging me without my permission

Complaint against Currys PC World

I brought a TV from the Swindon Curry's store last year, when asked by the salesman if I would like to take out insurance cover I verbally declined. However as I paid by credit card I've just realised the salesman has pushed through the insurance and I've been getting charged £7.50 every month since the date of purchase. Not only is this fraud it's also theft. I'll also be making an official complaint to Trading Standards as this practice can no longer carry on.

Hi Tim. I'm sorry to hear that you were unaware of a continuous payment being made on your Credit Card for a product support agreement. If you would like to advise me of your home address I can request for the agreement to be cancelled. The benefits would however cease immediately upon cancellation. - Richard

Hi Tim, thanks for getting in touch. In order for me to cancel this agreement for you please can you confirm the make and model of the product. Due to the period of time that has transpired from the date of purchase I would not be able to arrange for a refund for the payments taken. Hi, Many thanks for replying the make and model number for the TV is LG 55L B700V – ZG.BEKWLJG. In response to your comments above I do agree it is my responsibility to check my account to see if the original amount paid for the TV was correctly taken from my card. However I shouldn’t have to check my account for payments made for insurance that I declined at the point of purchase and the name on the statement “Product Support AG” having no reference to Curry’s what so ever.

Sadly, maybe it’s my naivety to believe a company of your stature would repay the money taken. Unfortunately it would seem you would rather please your shareholders than please your customers. I would be grateful if you could cancel this agreement effective immediately. Just to confirm also, I’ve made an official complaint to Trading Standards, the NFIB and to Sebastian James.
