Complaint against Currys PC World

I purchased an external hard disc from Currys PC World in Loughborough in May 2016. Since that month, a monthly payment of £6.50 has been taken off my credit card without any notice/prior request for authorization. I only purchased the external hard disk and did not subscribe to any so-called "support". Please cancel this "support" as soon as possible and refund £19.50 as soon as possible. I do not appreciate being conned out of my money in this way especially when I recently spent quite a lot of money at Currys (vacuum cleaner - flatscreen LCD TV etc). I will stop spending my money in your stores if this is the way you treat your customers. My colleague purchased an external hard disc at the same time as me so I will make sure he checks his credit card statements as well and gets any refunds due to him. This is so not done Currys so please sort this out as soon as possible.

Hi Elke, I am sorry to hear this. Please can you forward a copy of your post to [email protected] along with your address, receipt number,date of purchase and branch number so we can contact the store as an authorization slip would have to be signed for Careplan payments to be taken. We look forward to receiving the information - Tony

No refunds will be made but Currys have promised to stop the Careplan payments as of next month. Not very happy about the non-refund and will think twice before buying anything at a Currys store ever again.
