[RESPONDED] They sold our sofa to someone else

Complaint against Loaf

We purchased a sofa on line. Received an invoice confirming we had paid, and that the sofa was ready for immediate delivery. We received a call 5 days later saying a computer error the sofa was sold to someone else. If we wanted that sofa we would have to pay £350 more and have to wait 6 weeks. We said we were happy to wait but want the sofa at the price we agreed. They disagreed finally offered us the same sofa with an extra £250 to pay. They still have £1200 sitting in their account! We have written to the managing director to ask what they are going to do. We feel very let down. We had a sale contract. If the shoe was on the other foot they would insist we brought the item. Seems very unfair.
