Complaint against Furniture Village
We had an awful experience at furniture village Poole, firstly we told the gentleman that we needed out soda before Christmas, only after he had taken our money, did he tell us it wouldn’t be delivered until 17th Jan as we were out of the cut off by 2 hours, even though the store had signs everywhere stating otherwise! He had also ensured us that the sofas arms could be removed. Due to space being tight, we though this would be perfect. Finally, after waiting until January ( and Christmas with no sofa) they finally came to deliver it. We were then told it would not fit, and that the arms were not detachable!! Upon taking this information back to the store, they then suggested, we pay £250 to have the sofa cut in half!! And then there upholster would stitch it back together!! Shocking!! They said that as we had signed saying it would fit ( due to being told that the arms were detachable) that there was nothing else they could do, and that we couldn’t cancel the order( it was on finance) After 30 odd phone calls and multiple visits to the store, we have managed to get them to agree to cancel the order, but not I’m not hopeful we will get out £250 deposit back. We have emailed and tried to call different helplines, but either no one was interested or we received no replies. All in all, the experience has been awful! We are now having to use a futon in our lounge, (which we had to buy) until we can afford another sofa! I cannot urge you enough not to buy from this awful store, and in fact furniture village as a company!
