Complaint against Prizehook

It would appear that I have inadvertently signed up for a £ 4.50 a week competition, and have tried to send this message to Prizehook via their website - I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR A £ 4.50 GIFT CARD COMPETITION ON 8/4. ALTHOUGH I CLICKED ON TESCO COMPETITION IT CLEARLY STATED "FREE" AT EVERY STAGE. But it keeps saying "cannot send" I attempted to cancel by texting STOP - but was alerted that this text would be charged. Reluctant to phone the number as assume it will be a prime charge as well. I am annoyed, disgusted etc, that I may be incurring charges I had no intention of subscribing to.

Dear Melanie, any charges incurred on your mobile phone can only occur as the result of interaction with one of our services and all of our promotions feature prominent pricing information. The charge for sending STOP is a standard network rate msg fee from your provider, not a £4.50 charge from us. We can however stop this for you, just call Customer Services on 03301340183 or email us at [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you. Danielle Customer Services Manager for PrizeHook

quick response to my email direct to them - gave me all the blurb about how I must have interacted etc, charges were clear. I don't agree, but they did say they would cancel my "account". So hopefully I have not incurred any charges.
