Complete disregard for delivery instructions

Complaint against John Lewis

We ordered three items from JLP. As we were going on holiday the following week we paid extra in order to specify a specific delivery date. During our holiday we received a number of text messages informing us that our delivery would take place the next day. We made a number of phone calls an thought we had solved the problem but it reoccurred. Additionally my wife's debit card was charged for the same item as mine even though I had ordered and paid for the item. It's difficult to remember all of the detail but we received an email on 29/6 confirming delivery to be made 29/6 (our first day of holiday) then text messages on 2/7 3/7 5/7 during the same week all concerning delivery dates that we did not request. We made a number of calls to the distributor an was assured that the problem had been resolved The deliveries were eventually made but there was an attempt to deliver a duplicated delivery of a cupboard. We eventually received credit for the overcharge but only after we had spoken to a very helpful lady at John Lewis Liverpool. We have been customers for 50 years and have never had such problems in all that time
