Trying to obtain a refund on a unsafe car seat

Complaint against Kiddicare

I bought the car seat back in October, it was quite obvious from the start my 13 month old son could release the button and loosen the straps also when he fell asleep he head fell foward restricting his breathing. I spoke to joie about this who sent out a wedge for his positioning and a cover to supposedly stop him pressing the release button neither worked so I contacted kiddicare for a refund who refused as I had had the car seat just over 3 months, after seeking legal advice I went back to kiddicare staging the car seat isn't for for purpose. They rang joie themselves who said I had to buy a after market harness to attach to the seat which I wasn't willing to do, joie also added this was a common problem with this seat. After ringing kiddicare 3 times in one day to try and obtain a refund on the unsafe car seat they are still saying they need to inspect it to find a fault even though this is a manufacturers defect. So now I am stuck with a car seat that my son breaks out of before I even start the car.
