Carpetright caused £100s of damage to skirting boards during routine carpet fit - now refuse to fix!

Complaint against Carpetright

I used Carpetright to fit new carpet to my master bedroom on Friday. After the fitters left, I moved a piece of furniture to reveal what they had concealed - a 6ft long skirting board, which was installed and painted only the week prior was damaged beyond repair. I phoned the store, voicemail during office hours. I phone customer services, no response. I went on twitter and raised a complaint. Having talked with the CEO, the Head of Customer Experience and their Twitter Team, they promised to fix the problem and have workmen sent over early the week after. After they made this promise, they have since ignored emails and tweets made by me attempting to arrange a time to repair the damage. Appalling customer service and shocking arrogance from senior management!

They just ignore complains and won't deal with the Retail Ombudsman so they just get away with it. Dreadful company.
