Complaint against Pro-Tec Mobility Trading

Purchased a scooter on Dec 1st 2017 and placed order online. delivery was speedy but no assistance on unpacking and the weight became obvious straightway.Got help to lift scooter into car and made journey to hospital appointment next day. at hospital.again enlisted help to unload but found it impossible to lift ( we are both in our 70's!) Contacted protect on return but got the "runaround" all we wanted was an exchange for a lightweight model but was WAS offered a replacement if I sent a cheque for 600 ponds and protec sold the scooter on my behalf.This was not accepted and I contacted Trading Standards who advised me that under the 2015 distance trading act I am entitled to a refund as item "unfit for purpose" there is no Email address at all for this company and they were closed for Xmas until Jan ?? My registered letter was not signed for.I am very unhappy with the whole scenario ! Ee
