Mother's Day ruined for hundreds of Lovely Flora World customers
"Stay clear of Lovely Flora World" - that is the message from more than 200 customers whose Mother's Day was ruined.
A Spokesman Said has once again been inundated with complaints from unhappy customers - and they are still coming in!
The flowers have been described by some as "a dead, dried up mess", "smallest bunch of weeds I’ve ever seen", and "could get way better at the cemetery rubbish bin".
We have been writing about the problems with Lovely Flora World since 2015 and three years later it seems the company has done nothing to fix its problems.
In total, A Spokesman Said has now received more than 1,100 complaints about this company, over the past couple of years.
Among the many, many complaints, that stemmed from Mother's Day, the most common were that either the flowers did not show up at all, or they showed up dead.
Some of the flowers received by Lovely Flora World customers.
"They were all dead."
Jody Bates of Carlisle used Lovely Flora World to send a bouquet to her mum, 300 miles away in South Wales.
She says her eye was drawn to the 60% discount on offer and free delivery.
Jody placed the order on Saturday and the flowers eventually arrived yesterday – four days later.
And what were they like when they did arrive?
"They were all dead," Jody said.
Jody had been on Facetime, video calling with her mum when she opened the flowers. Jody said she was embarrassed to have sent them.
"They were four days late anyway. They did not look anything like what I ordered.
"I would rather they did not turn up at all."
Jody asked Lovely Flora World for a refund, but it has not responded to her.
"I emailed them on Sunday and Monday – no emails back. I just got the automated email."
Jody said all the reviews on the Lovely Flora World website are glowing 5-star reviews and questioned if they were legitimate – something A Spokesman Said has also pointed out.
A history of let downs
It feels like deja vu - a month to the day we wrote about how Lovely Flora World let down hundreds of customers on Valentine's Day too.
They apologised, but haven't made any improvements from the looks of things.
When we asked them last time about their poor service, Lovely Flora World showed how much they care by saying that customers should accept the risk that their flowers might not be perfect.
We have asked them to front up again, and to respond to suggestions that all the reviews on their website weren't real.
