Ticket Selection responds to anxious fans waiting for tickets

Music fans have been left in limbo after tickets they paid hundreds of pounds for have yet to arrive.

Customers of online seller Ticket Selection are still waiting for their orders – with just days to go before the concerts they booked.

Many have been told they will need to pick up their tickets from agents outside the venue.

One customer, Dionne Rendell, says she spent £253 on tickets to the Stones Roses for her husband and his friend.

The veteran rockers are playing four nights at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium from the 15 June.


“I still have not heard back from Ticket Selection,” said Dionne, “and when I phone it always says the lines are busy.

“The concert is this week. I’m so angry they can do this to people.”

We featured their story last week in our article and asked Ticket Selection why customers were experiencing problems.

The company said it was upgrading its customer service system to ensure it didn’t happen again and insisted any customer that does not receive their tickets would receive a full refund.

All concerts have reps at the venue for collections but customers two days or less away from the show they are attending should contact Ticket Selection to ensure they have collection details.

What happened to the postage fees if customers pick up tickets from reps?

The fee is admin/postage fee and is used for company rep to meet customers on the day.


Why when customers booked were they told their tickets would be delivered by post ten days before the event?

Our emails States 'we aim', we can't promise this due to nature of promoters sending out tickets late.

Isn’t it unreasonable to expect customers to meet complete strangers to pick up tickets?

It is quite common and practiced by Stubhub, Viagogo, Seat Wave and Get Me In.


Why were Ticket Selection’s phone lines unresponsive?

We have a huge demand on the phone line with a busy three weeks and have taken the decision to email all information for time being. Calls are being taken but if the line is clogged there is not much we can do.
