Karema Henderson: 1/5 Stars 28/12/2019 Rat infested Shurguard Greenford Rat infested Shurguard Greenford I store my goods in Greenford storage Shurguard and rat bit and urine on all my goods everything is damaged I couldn’t believe. Worse thing Shurguard storage claim that my insurance don’t cover all my goods only can receive £1999 from insurance and the rest is my lost. One of the worst thing I live in UK and rent my storage in London and twice I received letter from there insurance Marsh in French, I contacted the head office and told them I do not speak or understand French but the following week I received another letter in French again from the insurance company am not sure what it mean and real don’t want to know as this is very disrespectful as I pay every month £180 including insurance for £12 per month. Shurgard Self-Storage has not yet responded. Zee Beech: 1/5 Stars 12/12/2018 Stay away from Shurgard Shysters! Stay away from Shurgard Shysters! Shurgard took over the ABC Selfstore company and I can find nothing to like about Shurgard. They were quick to inform ABC customers about terms & payments but gave no information about what was happening with the store staff or how to contact the store or how things were changing. You have to trawl their t's&c's to find out the little hidden details about what changes they're making - they won't tell you directly. And email replies seem to be written by someone who read "how to write a facile reply that sounds as if you give a toss when in fact you couldn't care less" I tried calling my local store. I used to get straight through to a person. Now there is a "press 1 for ..." menu and after that the number diverts to another store (or perhaps planet shurgard) and apparently this is now a standard procedure, so I can no longer call the store to ask a simple question, or check if I've had a delivery, or anything else at all. The email address was wiped and I had to send 3 separate emails to Shurgard head office to find put the email address for my local store. The website email box has a 512 char limit so I had to send 5 separate emails for my one single message. The store management and staff are unhappy. Shurgard have scant regard for customer service or staff relations. ABC Selfstore was fantastic. I've been a happy customer for 13 years. My local Camden store is losing customers in droves and I will be joining them. I cannot fathom why anyone would give Shurgard a positive rating for anything at all. In my opinion Shurgard is faceless, soul-less, response-less, indifferent, greedy, impersonal, uncaring, unconcerned about customers, and worst of all, they don't care about any of this at all! I DO NOT recommend Shurgard for any reason under any circumstances and I will continue to communicate my absolute displeasure in every scathing, vitriolic and venemous way I can. Be warned! Stay away from Shagard Shysters. You won't like them and they don't care. Mark Godfrey: 2/5 Stars 14/12/2018 Mess and rubbish everywhere inside and outside I was disgusted at the amount of litter / rubbish at the Roneo corner branch it was strewn everywhere and looked more like a refuse center then a Storage facility! This was on a Wednesday around 9.00am to 10.30 am I am definitely not re- newing my contract with Shuregard next year very disappointed and shocked that people are allowed to get away with dumping their rubbish and litter everywhere despite having 24/7 CCTV? Surely they must have the Registration numbers of the vehicles and they should be fined for making such a mess and next time I will take a black bag with me to clear some of the litter in the car park . Shurgard Self-Storage has not yet responded. N Lockett: 1/5 Stars 19/01/2019 Stay away from Shurgard! Don’t do it. Find a company with decent security and fire suppression. Google Shurgard Fire’ or ‘Shurgard Theft’ and make an informed decision. Also, find a company with decent customer service skills. I note that they are quick to respond on Trust Pilot however you will find them less quick to respond on matters of refund or liability. Rubbish company with an extremely basic, cheap product masquerading as a quality solution. We have lost an unfathomable amount of precious family archive as well as who knows how much in terms of clothing, furniture, household items and electronics. They have an opportunity to ‘do the right thing’ by their customers but so far... nothing. Their stance appears adversarial and concerned only by profit. You need to trust your storage provider and Shurgard are only concerned with themselves not their customers. Try the competition, but avoid avoid avoid Shurgard! Cornwall Allen: 1/5 Stars 31/03/2019 Reduced level of confidence in provision of service The company has reduced it's 24 hour policy to access between 06:00 hrs' and 23.00 hrs' unless you purchase a ground floor unit. There is an electronic seven feet high gate on entry and exit. I have easily vaulted the exit gate when the entry gate was faulty. My unit is on the first floor with access via another key code pad for access. I hired a unit within Shurgard more than 20 years ago because I work odd hours with delicate electronic equipment that can be affected bybcold and I do not want to be seen unloading at my home. The policy change was implemented without consultation and means I have to frequently sleep in a vehicle while waiting for access in order to feel secure while waiting to unload. This morning, 31st March 2019, I am waiting at the gate since 06:00. It is now 06:41. Shurgard clocks are clearly not programmed to distinguish the change from GMT to BST. This service which has gone bad is now appalling. I have constantly requested a review of the policy for me and others in the same position but Shurgard refute that units on the ground floor are less secure. I am going to approach Access Storage as they have a 24 hour policy. Shurgard Self-Storage has not yet responded.
