Complaint against Venntro
I have today found pending transactions in my bank account from this company. I have never had a online dating account nor have I ever provided my banking details to this company. However I still received a pending bank transaction for £19.95. I have reported this transaction to my bank who are monitoring the transaction as it is currently still pending. If they attempt to complete the transaction it will be investigated as fraud as I have not authorised the payment at all. Having googled this company online I can see hundreds of pages of complaints of a similar nature. Consumer BEWARE. At this stage I am not concerned as my details are secured with my bank and they will refund any money this company attempts to take fraudulently. It Seems the company regularly blames people attempting to charge unsuspecting folk for subscriptions on fraudulent dating profiles... if this is the case then clearly the way venntro have their subscriptions set up is clearly inadequate from a security point of view as they are not obtaining enough proof from their clients to confirm their identity and are allowing them to use any old details in order to upgrade an account and take payment!!!. Venntro, if you know people are regularly using fake profiles (which you have claimed multiple times on this site alone) to scam unsuspecting consumers card details for payments... well at what point do you realise your security checks are inadequate? As I said I am not concerned because should this transaction attempt to complete by the company, well the details will be shared automatically from my bank with the police and I will receive a full refund. My card has since been cancelled and I will be sent a new one. But consumer beware when they recieve transactions on their bank statement from this company as chances are you never even made the purchase yourself.
