[LAPSED] My brother was allowed to change MY contract

Complaint against The Phone Spot

My brother uses my 2nd contract phone, the phone is entirely in MY name. He received a call from phone spot. They asked for him by name. He was somehow allowed to change MY contract to a sim only contract. I was NOT present during the call. As the contract is in my name I would like to know how this happened. Data protection laws are in place to stop this kind of behaviour. I called customer services and when I gave them my phone number, they had a different name against it. They couldn’t even find the order. I call the branch and have since had this cancelled. The manager was very keen to get me off of the phone given that they had broken data protection. This is absolutely disgusting and would like an explaination of how this was allowed to happen.
