Complaint against The Phone Spot

I was contacted by this company and offered a new sim only contract via Carphone warehouse with O2. I agreed to the contract but realised right away that it was not a good contract. I phoned back and was told that I would need to phone customer services on 01509618593. It two phone calls to finally be told by the lady I spoke to,two days after my first call, that the contract would not go ahead as I was cancelling with in 14 Days. I today I received an email from O2 advising me of my new sim only contract renewal. I phoned them an thankfully they have agreed not to go ahead with the new contract as they were satisfied I had tried to cancel this new contract. I will now as a result never deal with Carphone warehouse or Phonespot again. They have chosen to ignore my request to cancel. I did offer them the opportunity to give a better contract but they declined so that is when I said I wished to cancel which they have ignored.

Hi I phoned you twice and you told me it was resolved and wasn’t you still went ahead with the contract despite assuring me it was cancelled. I will not waste anymore time or money on calls. Fortunately O2 have agreed to cancel the contract you put me on and I am now on a new contract through O2.

I received new sim today and found two emails in my junk email which prove Phonespot/ Carphone Warehouse have ignored my request to cancel this order. Sick and fed up with it all.

I have posted the sim along with a letter confirming that I don’t want a contract with you and confirming cancellation of the order. I used the address on the slip that came with the new sim. Richard Zak
