Tricked into 12 months extended contract
Complaint against Virgin Media
I have Virgin media for a few years now and my earlier contract expired in the June 2016. I continue to use their service till date through rolling monthly. Recently i received a call letting me know that i can upgrade the to a larger package and try it for month and if not satisfied i can roll back to normal. Today i wanted to Leave Virgin media as i am moving out of country and i was surprised to hear that i have a contract for 12 months starting 17/11/2016 (Which i never signed up for). Now they are charging me a £200+ cancellation charges. It was told me that i have spoken and agreed for the contract and this contract is valid. This is certainly not expected from a company of high standard and to a loyal customer What should i do to close this contract without the cancellation fee.
