Complaint against Vodafone

I was with vodaphone until July last year I wrote to them to opt out of my contract as I was well within my rights too as they were increasing the price and I had the option to opt out. My contract was up on the September anyways so I continued to pay my contract I rang them in the Aug giving 30 days notice spoke to someone after the numerous attempts there customer service is disgusting no one could help me or advise me. I cancelled my direct debit and now 16 months later I’ve reiceved a letter stating I owe £147 and it is affecting my credit rating who the hell do I contact to sort this out I’m toying with calling them as I know off past experiences it’s hell dan any one help please?
