BE WARNED ABOUT SKY GO ELSEWHERE !!! I'm putting this message on Facebook and Twitter to warn others of the disgraceful service that this company is offering, so please read on . About 3 weeks ago I rang SKY to ask them whether they could improve what I pay monthly, as they are not competitive any more and I can get cheaper deals elsewhere. I didn't particularly want to move providers as I have been a customer for over 20 years but have not been rewarded for this loyalty. When I rang spoke to an incompetent individual who had no idea what he was doing, he quoted me fantastic discount of £5.00 wow!! then when I said I would stupidly continue being with sky, he said he'd made a mistake, and I'd only get £2.50 off for 6 months, in the end I gave up as I had already been on the phone for 40 minutes which was no doubt costing me a fortune . Since he changed my package to get this fantastic discount I have made at least 5 calls as I am continuously getting a message stating that my interactive card wasn't valid / working ,every time I rang I got through to a foreign call centre, every time I explained that I keep getting the same problem and my card is burnt , its clearly not working as everything they tell me to do doesn't work. All they kept repeating was that the card was ok and the burnt stuff was glue they didn't listen are make any attempt to help me !!!! Last night after not been able to watch many channels I got fed up and asked them to send me another card, the guy I spoke to said that if he did this I would have no TV for a week (realistically this could be as much as 2 weeks) I cannot believe that in this day and age you cant send me a card leaving me with some tv rather than nothing . My mother in law is with Virgin who are a lot more competitive , she recently had a problem and the next day an engineer was at her home and the problem was sorted . I am putting comments about this company on all social media sites in a bid to warn others , I've had to resorts to this as its impossible to speak to anyone , the telephone lines and live chat facility are always engaged . It a shame this used be such a good company not the greedy unhelpful company that it now is .Time to move before the box catches fire and burns my house down!!
