Complaint against Sky

So I have recently been contacted by a company called Advantis they had called me a number of times and sent me e-mails. I had ignored them due to not being aware of who they were and why they were contacting me. I finally answered their call to find out what they wanted. They were actually chasing me for payment for Sky services that I had cancelled once my contract had lapsed. I advised Advantis that I would not be paying this money and I would be speaking to Sky direct. I called Sky who now seem to have a system in place where they don't allow you to speak to an adviser direct and insist on carrying out a conversation over Facebook messenger. I finally managed to get an answer from one of the agents the day after I had made the original contact with Sky, who advised me that there had been an issue with the system when closing my account and as a result it had added another charge to my account despite me cancelling the services. A result of this has been an adverse effect on my credit file and a number of unwanted or justified calls from a debt collection agency. Sky have admitted that this is their fault but I now have to dispute the mark on my credit file with the credit file agency and wait for it to be cleared. They also could not even send me a letter to confirm that this was their mistake or offer me anything for the inconvenience that this has caused. All in all this has been a pretty poor experience with terrible communication with no real regard to customer service.
