[LAPSED] poor service

Complaint against TalkTalk

first engineer could not get sound on our hd tv so set up tv in av mode. not happy with picture quality we complained they sent second engineer who said tv was at fault so charged us £65.after he left my son in law changed a setting on the tv and got the hd working with sound ok.How can they justify charging a fee if there engineers cant do a simple set up alteration.

Hi Ian, The engineers attend to check the TalkTalk equipment. If the problems you were experiencing were down to settings on your television then I'm afraid the call out charge is valid. So the engineer can misdiagnose a faulty audio card in the tv but he is not capable of marrying the talk talk box to the tv.Well i wonder why they have a set up service then if they are not able to carry out a simple task of checking the settings.Warning to all I think, regards Ian Taylor.
