On 9.3.2016, I travelled from Barnehurst to Feltham station (via Waterloo East) to finally go to Airport with a suitcase in hand. As the train was just down at Barnehurst, there being lot of morning crowd everyone was trying to outdo the other and rushing towards train by touching oyster. I too touched my PAYG Oyster 0517537000 41. However, after arriving at Waterloo East station when I touched my Oyster, gate won’t open. Upon my asking the inside ticket window nobody was prepared or happy to discuss about Oyster issue (their looks made me to feel like holding Oyster was a crime). They simply asked me to buy a new ticket for which I was made to pay £ 7 (ticket copy attached). I wish to inform you that this Oyster card has behaved very erratic at many times when touched in Bus and I had been succeeding on some occasions after touching several times on the reader. Since you have closed all ticket windows I could not get a chance to discuss about erratic Oyster. Notwithstanding you would appreciate that I had to unnecessarily pay £ 7 whereas I could have completed my journey by paying either £ 2.70 or max £ 4.10. Could I request you to please look into the overcharge I had to incur? Kind regards
