Andreia's complaint against Metroline

Rude and inconsiderate bus driver

Complaint against Metroline

Having waited nearly 2 hours for an ambulance to take a vulnerable mental health adult to St Mary's hospital as they had collapsed at an event and they were locked out of their house with no access to their medication. Myself and my colleague made the decision to get on the bus to take the vulnerable adult to the hospital. We got on the 7 bus at Ladbroke Grove station today 14 August at 21:51 & I explained to the driver the situation and that the vulnerable adult had no money or oyster on him and if we could get to the hospital. My colleague paid for his own fare to get on the bus. The driver then told me to get off the bus and go buy an oyster for the vulnerable adult to get on. I told him that I had no money to go buy an oyster and that the adult needed to go to hospital. My colleague then paid from his phone to get the vulnerable adult to the hospital. The drivers attitude was unacceptable and I explained that as a matter of urgency he should allow the vulnerable adult on to the bus which he replied "we are not a charity" I think this is completely unacceptable behaviour towards someone who needs to be seen by a doctor. The license plate of the bus is: LK14 FAJ
