Complaint against Teletext Holidays
We made a booking late 2017 to secure the hotel we had spent many hours researching for our 2018 family holiday. It now appears we should have spent more time researching the teletext holidays! Not only did they withdraw additional funds from my account without authorisation, shortly after full payment was made we were informed of contractural issues between the hotel and suppliers and the accommodation was withdrawn. Teletext have offered alternatives however these are at much cheaper hotels than the one initially booked. We had also previously paid a sizeable upgrade cost for a family suit as we have a 15 year old son who needs his own personal space, however only standard rooms have been offered in alternative hotels. The original hotel still has the suites available to book however these are not with teletex suppliers so we have been told to forget about these. Not only do teletex expect us to accept a downgraded room in a vastly cheaper hotel they also want us to pay an additional £490 for the privellage! We have not/ will not accept this and are awaiting a response. We have asked teletex to escalate this to management as this is clearly not acceptable.
