Complaint against Teletext Holidays
I have used Teletext Holidays in the past and have had no issues with them. However, this year when browsing their offers online and then phoning them to book the prices would increase by more than 10%. When asked why the price is so much different from the advertised price I was told that the website does not show the "live" prices and that every time I looked at the specific deal the price would go up (Increased demand means an increased in price). The Teletext Holidays representative on the phone asked me what sort of budget I was looking for so that he can look at which hotels they have within my price range and then he would book that hotel before the price goes up indicating that I should simply pay them for a holiday of their choosing without having a look at the hotel first. It must be nice to be a big company that can hide behind money and lawyers while treating their customers like this. Making a fortune by advertising false prices, just to get you on the phone to one of their aggressive and borderline rude sales people that will then charge you above what is advertised for something that they decide for you.
