Complaint against Teletext Holidays

We booked holiday on 8th of Januray with teletext. We booked flights and hotel. We got emails with confirmation and all was ok until last week when we got email saying that a supplier couldn't confirm the hotel. Funny as we had an email confirming it months ago. The company offered us different hotel with a lower standard plus £200 refund. We refused it. The hotel was not to our standard. We wanted a specific place. We planed it carefully months in advance. We were supposed to travel with 3 little children. Once complained to the sales person who sold us the package they said it is not their fault as an agent didn't book the hotel. And we should decide quickly if we want the hotel offered. We refused and told them that in that case we want to cancel evwrything. The company refused saying that we can't cos plane is confirmed. But they can look at the other hotels for us but it will be hard to find something as it is late now. We said we don't want anything anymore from them. And we will look for a hotel ourselves. The person from the company said that in that case they don't have to give us any compensation. We were stuck with plane tickets for a trip with no hotel. We eventually managed to secure a hotel with a different supplier. But it has cost us a lot of stress Our family holiday now will be us in a hotel in a two different rooms. Thanks to teletext out time as a family is ruined There was a reason why we booked so much in advance. We wanted a place for all us and our 3 kids together with a kids pool. Teletext hasn't responded to a complain email from us. Hasn't even apologise for their action.
