Complaint against Teletext Holidays
I booked a holiday through teletext holidays 1 year ago. I received an email 2 weeks before we travel that the hotel isn’t open due to refurbishments that are still on going and so hotel isn’t open to guest. I have contacted the hotel directly as we have stayed there many times over the last 12years. There reply was that there is no on going refurbishment taking place and that the hotel isn’t due to open until 3 days after we arrive. So I asked if there was a booking/ reservation for myself and family on the dates I’d booked to which the reply was no to booking name and no to the reservation number. Teletext holidays have offered alternative accommodation miles away from where we was staying and a lesser grade 3*apposed to 4* . None are suitable as we’re meeting friends at the same hotel only they booked to come out 3 days after we arrive and when the hotel opens. I will NEVER be using teletext holidays again or recommending to anyone . How can companies get away with treating people like this is beyond me. So all the reservation numbers and correspondence means nothing. There has been no mention of compensation/ apology for any inconvenience
