Filthy apartment at pontins camber sands

Complaint against Pontins

We booked one nights stay at camber sands pontins on the 29th July after checking in we arrived at our apartment only to walk into compete and utter filth. There was dirty nappies on the floor with other rubbish, rubbish on the sides, a over flowing dustbin, floors covered in baked beans, sides unclean, sinks covered in tooth paste, cups in a dirty sink. The place was utterly disgusting, and stunk of poo from the baby's nappy. I went to reception with pictures and was told to go over to the accommodation manager as she agreed it was unacceptable. I spoke with the manager, showed her the pictures and was promised that the apartment would be cleaned immediately. 1 hour later and no one had showed up, so I returned the key to reception to leave and ask for a refund. It was to late for us to enjoy our night as by this point it was gone 10pm and most of the night had gone so we couldn't enjoy the evening, as we was sat waiting for a cleaner to arrive before we could make our beds and unpack. I am absolutely disgusted by the place. I have since emailed them for a refund only to be offered 30% discount off my next holiday with them. No mention of giving my money back.
