British Airways lost bag for 7 days; offered apology but no compensation.

Complaint against British Airways

My 68yo mother flew London to Nairobi on 2/19/15; British Airways lost bag for 7 days, nearly the duration of her trip. She was in remote area and unable to purchase any replacement items, including clothing, toiletries, or special socks needed due to diabetes. Without these socks, she developed severe blisters and required medical attention upon return to the USA. BA offered apology but no additional compensation as she had not purchased replacement items; BA claims no liability for her experience, citing "Montreal Convention." This was a once in a lifetime trip for her, and at 68 years old, she realistically will have few opportunities to go again; BA's failure to provide customer care ruined her trip.
