Anita's complaint against British Airways
Mis-sold upgrade seating. Flight Number BA2157
Complaint against British Airways
Booked trip to Antigua with Sandals on 15th to 25 June 2016. Was informed that if seats booked early you could incur additional cost to choose seat. Entered flight number, seating plan for cabin came up. From this plan we selected 17a and 17b, twin seats with a window view. These seats incurred a cost of £180 return. On boarding the aircraft our seats were in a row of three and there was no window seat. I printed off confirmation of the upgrade and took a photograph of the fact that I did not have a window seat. Have contacted customer services at BA, and was informed I had the seat numbers I chose and the fact that there was not twin seats together with no window view was not important, as these were the seats I chosen. This upgrade resulted in being seated in worse seats than Sandals had already booked for us. Therefore it was very disappointing to pay extra for these seats on the aircraft. BA have now informed me that I am not entitled to a full refund, after being informed by outward/inward head of cabin crew staff that we would receive a full refund.
