Paying to take luggage on holiday

Complaint against British Airways

I booked our flight in early May with BA at the same time as friends we are travelling with for a weeks holiday in Croatia.We paid £550 and our friends paid £570 but at the time i thought we had paid the same price.I printed off our boarding passes today when i was informed that we had to pay for our luggage which is an extra £120.I called BA but got absolutely nowhere and in the end their customer services rep hung up.I tried to find out why at the time of booking i was not informed that luggage was not included and obviously for £20 more i would have paid.I think this is a scam and BA should be highlighting that the price you are paying is exclusive of luggage as they can see by the booking we are going for the week and obviously need suit cases.
