Complaint against United Airlines

I recently booked flights with United Airlines through Expedia.co.uk as part of a package deal and I made full payments for flights and hotels. Yesterday ,on 2nd September I found out that United Airlines had requested a duplicate payment for flights, this payment had been deducted from my account and was waiting to be claimed by them through visa. I only found out about this when I tried to take cash out of my account only to find my card declined. My account was practically wiped out leaving me with no more than £19. I have not been able to pay our child-minder and also have not been able to buy my daughters packed lunch items for her school lunch! I spoke to United Airlines and got through to an operator in Tampa Florida. The advice I received was curt and unhelpful. I was told that I had to inform Expedia that they needed to send a Fax to them stating that the pending approval code needed to be dropped. This is not my role and why am I being asked to do such a thing? I am the customer.This has caused me undue stress and upset today. Who do you think you are taking my money in this way? This is my hard earned money, not for you to mess around with. I am waiting for a response with an explanation as to why this has happened. I consider this fraudulent.
