Complaint against Airbnb
Found an apartment in Amsterdam for a weekend, used the contact host button on their website, enquired about the apartment for the dates that we wanted to go and its availability, recieved an email back saying it was available, followed up via return mail a few days later said that I would like to book it, received an email from an airbnb be email address with details to make a payment and to book it, about 10 mins after doing it I realised what I had done and I could not recall the money, I was then contacted by the host right up until a couple of days before our trip confirming booking. Within minutes of paying apartment had been removed from Website, I did a screen print of the web page and the contact host button before originally contacting them as I was checking with a friend that was the correct way to make enquires. AirBnB said that all my own fault and nothing they can do. Even sent me an email confirming that a host account had been hacked that I tried contacting, they even deactivated my account twice when I complained.
