@bookingcom left us stranded in Spain without accommodation after their mistake and won't refund

Complaint against booking.com

We told Booking.com and the landlord of our holiday accommodation on the Monday that we were not going to be turning up on the Tuesday but on the Thursday instead. When we turned up in Spain the landlord had re-let the accommodation as he said that booking.com had not passed the e:mail on and denied our phone call. Booking.com have refused to refund our money , saying that as they hadn't confirmed back to us because they had a backlog we had not officially notified them. They gave us no help to find alternative accommodation which we had to find at our own expense.
