Complaint against booking.com
We booked a 3 night stay in a b and b in Blackpool a week ago. When we got there we found it very basic but seemed ok. We went for a walk into Blackpool and came back about 9pm as our two children were tired. When we got to our room I went to run the shower for my son who is 7 and the shower cubicle door came off in my hand!! We immediately went to get the owner who came to the room and after a lot of sighing said it looked like the track of the shower door had been tempered with making hints it was our fault. I was very upset at this point as my son could have been seriously hurt at which point he said if you don't like it you can leave this was about 9.30pm. He was not interested in our suggestion of an alternative room and said he would prefer it if we left. This was very distressing as I had booked this accommodation many weeks beforehand but we left. As a result we were forced into a hotel costing over £80 more and could have ruined our holiday. What can be done about this?
