Told lies by Thai airways and now in debt for compensation claim they will not pay

Complaint against Thai Airways

Our honeymoon flight was cancelled due to bird strike. We were told by ground staff T.A. would cover any incidental costs and we could claim via customer services when we returned from holiday. It took 6 weeks to get a response which said they are not liable to pay as bird strike was un-planned which is their policy. This is fine, my issue is that we were specifically told numerous times by Thai airways staff at LHR that all our costs would definitely be covered and to just make sure we keep receipts. They only have ONE person working in customer services so the response has been appalling. Very stressful, huge amount of money wasted, horrible start to honeymoon
