Complaint against easyJet
I was waiting at Funchal for a return flight to Manchester 2nd October due to depart at 20:35. Incoming flight diverted to Gran Canaria at 21:39 as my family were watching flightradar. No information given other than it was delayed. At 23:45 my mother who had booked my flight received a text message as did many others at the airport saying flight cancelled and giving a link which surprisingly crashed. I was fortunate as my parents were still in Madeira and I finally got my case and returned to them. Others were stranded for hours whilst the unlucky Easyjet staff tried to find accomodation for them. The link continued to crash and repeated phone calls to Easyjet brought no help at all. The first flight I could get with Easyjet was 30th October! I finally went to travel agent and got first available flight back which is on Saturday 7th October with TAP via Lisbon costing €386.
